The east–west line: from Kaupin kampus through the centre and along the shore of Näsijärvi to Lentävänniemi.
Tram line 1: Kaupin kampus – Keskustori – Lentävänniemi
Tram line 1 is the east–west backbone of the Tampere tram. In the east it connects Kaupin kampus and Tampere University Hospital, running through the centre to the western districts that rise along the shore of Näsijärvi, and it ends in the west at Lentävänniemi (Pyhällönpuisto).
The end-to-end journey takes about 34 minutes, and on weekdays the tram departs roughly every 7–8 minutes. On the shared central trunk, where line 1 runs on the same tracks as line 3, trams arrive at the stops even more frequently than that.
Line 1 is the handiest way to reach Särkänniemi and Näsinneula: from the Särkänniemi stop it is a short walk to the amusement park and the observation tower. In the east, the same line takes you to the Kauppi sports and recreation areas and to Tays hospital.

Shared trunk with line 3
Between Sammonaukio and Koskipuisto (Sammonaukio, Tulli, Rautatieasema, Koskipuisto) line 1 runs on the same tracks as line 3. At these stops you can change between the lines on the same 90-minute ticket.
Näsinneula and Särkänniemi
From the Särkänniemi stop you can reach the Näsinneula observation tower, the amusement park and the aquarium — favourite destinations for the whole family are one stop away.

On weekdays roughly every 6–7 minutes at peak times, every 7–8 minutes during the day, and less often in the evening and at weekends, roughly every 10–12 minutes.
