What this site is

tamperetram.com is an independent guide to the Tampere tram. It is not Nysse, the City of Tampere or Tampereen Raitiotie Oy: we do not sell tickets, we do not manage travel cards and we cannot resolve anything about an individual journey. The operator does that, and we link to them on every page.

What we do is gather in one place what Nysse publishes scattered across several: the fare table, the zones, the first and last departure at each stop, and live arrivals. There is a page for every stop and for lines 1 and 3.

Where the data comes from

Fares. Nysse’s own price list at nysse.fi. We checked it on 5 September 2026: an AB single is 2.50 € with a travel card, 2.80 € with contactless or the Nysse Mobiili app, and 3.50 € bought in advance. The travel card itself costs 6.00 € and the penalty fare is 80.00 €. Those six figures are the ones published on this site.

One trap worth knowing. Nysse’s own printable price list is still the January 2025 PDF, while the interactive list on their site gives the prices in force from 1 January 2026. We take the figures from the interactive list, not from the PDF — otherwise we would be publishing old prices.

Arrivals. The ITS Factory open feed, the same source Nysse itself uses. If it stops responding the board disappears quietly rather than showing stale data as if it were live.

Timetables. Nysse’s GTFS data, per stop and per direction, not a network-wide average.

When we get it wrong

We fix it and we say what was fixed. Fares and timetables are re-checked against the operator by a watchdog that flags it when Nysse’s figures move. If you spot an error, write to [email protected] — it is the fastest way to get it corrected.

This site is run by the team at GoRandom, a small group based in the Basque Country in Spain who do two things that go together better than they sound: travel, and build websites.

Tampere is not yet one of the cities we have set foot in — we are up to twenty and we move slowly. We would rather say so than pretend otherwise: what you read here does not come from our memories, it comes from what the operator publishes and from checking work we can show you.

The other half of what we know how to do is web development, and this site is the excuse to put the two together. We do not leave it sitting there: every fare and every timetable carries its source and the date we checked it, and they get revised when the operator changes something. The last thorough revision was in September 2026: we went through Nysse’s price list figure by figure and found that the operator’s own printable PDF is still the January 2025 one while the prices in force are those from 1 January 2026 — so we take the figures from the interactive list, not from the PDF.
