When the trams run

First and last departures depend on the line and direction. On weekdays the first trams leave the termini between about 05:00 and 05:45 and the last between about 00:00 and 00:30. At weekends service starts a little later, but a night tram runs on Friday and Saturday nights.

On the shared central trunk between Sammonaukio and Koskipuisto the two lines together bring a tram to the stop about every 3–4 minutes at peak times.

A night tram runs on Friday and Saturday nights; on other nights the tram does not operate. At night Tampere is served by night buses, taxis and ride-hailing apps.

Frequently asked questions about timetables

The first trams leave the termini on weekdays at around 05:00–05:45. The earliest is line 3, which starts at about 05:00.

The last departures are at around 00:00–00:30 depending on the line and direction. On Friday and Saturday nights line 3 continues as a night tram further into the night.

On Friday and Saturday nights line 3 runs as a night tram. On other nights the tram does not run, and you travel by night bus, taxi or ride-hailing app.
