Tram line 3: Sorin aukio – Hakametsä – Hervantajärvi
Tram line 3 connects the southern edge of central Tampere at Sorin aukio with the south-eastern district of Hervanta. Along the way the tram passes through Kaleva, Hakametsä and the Hervanta campus, ending in the south at Hervantajärvi.
The end-to-end journey takes about 28 minutes, and on weekdays the frequency is roughly 7–8 minutes. Line 3 is the main connection to the centre for Hervanta’s students and commuters — the Hervanta campus is the largest campus of Tampere University.
Line 3 also runs a night tram on Friday and Saturday nights, so you can travel between the centre and Hervanta well into the night.

Shared trunk with line 1
Between Koskipuisto and Sammonaukio, line 3 runs on the same tracks as line 1. At these four trunk stops you can change to line 1 on the same 90-minute ticket.
Night tram at weekends
On Friday and Saturday nights line 3 runs late into the night — a handy way back from the centre's nightlife to Hervanta.

From Sorin aukio through the centre and Hakametsä to Hervanta, with Hervantajärvi as the terminus. Altogether 17 stops and about 28 minutes.
On weekdays roughly every 6–7 minutes at peak times and every 7–8 minutes during the day. In the evening and at weekends the frequency is roughly every 10–12 minutes.
On Friday and Saturday nights line 3 runs as a night tram. On other nights the tram does not run, and travel is by night bus and taxi.
Board line 3 and get off at the Hervanta campus stop. From the centre (Rautatieasema) the journey takes about 20 minutes.
