Pohjois-Hervanta is the northern part of Hervanta’s vast suburb and the first proper Hervanta stop as you arrive from the north. The area is densely built and known for the suburban construction that began in the 1970s, since complemented with new housing.
The stop serves local residents and students, and its surroundings offer residential blocks, green areas and local services. Hervanta is one of Finland’s largest suburbs and a multicultural, lively district with its own strong identity.
From Pohjois-Hervanta the tram continues towards the Opiskelija, Hervantakeskus and university campus stops. With the tram, the whole of Hervanta has become even more tightly connected to the city centre, and the trip from the suburb to the heart of the city is now made effortlessly by rail.
