Hervantajärvi is the southern terminus of line 3 and, at the same time, one of Tampere’s fastest-growing new residential areas. As its name suggests, it sits close to the beautiful Hervantajärvi lake, where living and nature meet.
With the tram, plenty of new housing has risen in the area, and it has been designed as a pleasant district built around public transport. The lakeshore offers recreation opportunities, outdoor routes and the peace of nature right next to home.
As the terminus, Hervantajärvi is the southern gateway to the whole Hervanta branch: from here the tram turns back towards the city centre via the Hervanta campus, Hervantakeskus and Hakametsä. The new residential area and the tram terminus are growing together as part of an expanding Tampere.
